The drive to Hana is definately long and if you get car sick my advice is to take 1/2 a motion sickness pill. What a beautiful drive to behold.Once we arrived at the Hotel Hana Maui we were greeted with a cold towel, a drink and a beautiful lei. Then we had a tour of the property with all the amenities, too many to list. Our room was large and ...
I have made the magical journey to Hana many, many times and it is definitely a journey unlike any other. I learned after the first trip that a journey to Hana must include at least a night or two so you have time to leisurely explore and enjoy Heavenly Hana. The magic of Hana is that you need to sit back and enjoy the air, the ocean, the views ...

It's a Must Each Time !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/27/06
We've been to Maui 3 times and have taken the Hana Hwy each time. Last time, we actually started our vacation there and stayed 3 nights. It was one of the most awesome things that we had ever experienced.
We are booked for our trip in May and will definitely be going again.
A day trip is great, but remember to start early, pack a lunch ...
I went to Maui with my father for a short vacation in June of 2003. I enjoyed the Road to Hana a great deal. I got to walk through an old lava tube, and walk on roadside paths to find waterfalls. My dad and I rented a 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycle to get around on Maui, I have to say that was definitly the way to see the island. On the road ...
Hana is an isolated small small "town," with a "Local" vibe mixed with hippie. It is the drive that makes it, and the area past Hana, as well... If you turn around and go back to the resort the same day, you WILL be tired - wishing you had made arrangements to stay....
Having said all that, Hana is the most beautiful part of ...

Best Winding Road Anywhere!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Beautiful waterfalls, breath-taking scenery, exotic black sand beach, relaxing wading pools, exhilarating hikes and amazing cliffs with the ocean crashing against them - what more could you want? Maui is filled with incredible sites but the Road to Hana is at the top of the list. It's a little strip of road but you could spend all day exploring it and still not see it all.

Red Sanda Beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/05
There are no human words to describe the awe inspiring, spiritual high one is filled with swimming at the Red Sands Beach. Don't be afraid of it's small size...bathing in the water here is nothing short of a blessing...sack alunch w/ some wine, and you will be born again! Indulge in a handmade piece of jewelry to mark as a momento of your new self...
We enjoyed the road to hana. We had a well versed tour guide & driver. If you think it's a ride on the expressway it iks NOT. after 1/4 way of ride I was thankful I wasn't the driver. narrow roads and about 32 cruves I think it was. Views of the ocean and Killer size waves were wonderful We were there President's day 2005 and driver commented how slow the traffic was.
We read about this trip before we left for our trip, but nothing can prepare you for this! We had a blast, but it helps to be the adventurous type. Take your bathing suit and water shoes. Water and lunch or snacks. Lots of film. The narration CD was sorta helpful, but you sometimes wondered exactly where you were. It's all day - we left ...
