This place is off the chain. We visit there every year, my entire TAYLOR family from the Bahamas, this year the rate is toooo high considering the down-turn of the economy. I expected for the rates to be a little lower considering we get up to 10 rooms each summer... So like good rates in the past this year I don't know if we can aford to go.

I grew up in Pompano Beach. It's a great place to visit and go to the beach. There are some really nice hotels and bars on A1A down by the beach. However, it is not a place to raise a family, and I would discourage anyone from attempting to do so. There is a lot of gang activity and crime. There is a high amount of teenage pregnancy, as well. I'm not completely saying it's a terrible place, just a place not to raise a child.
