We could not believe how nice the condo was and that there were great restaurants within walking distance from the condo. We found shells and saw beautiful sunsets.

FWB is ok. The people here think that this place is the best place in the world, if you were to look at the prices. Its not. As for safty its perty safe in the day time. If you like to go to bars and clubs be carefull because there have been lots of fights at these bars and clubs. Overall I say you would get tired of this place in two weeks. Destin is a little better, the only defferance is that you would get tired of that place in a month.

fort walton beach was ok, but destin is much better. the beaches are whiter the water is clearer and the overall atmosphere is different. fort walton beach is a little slower and less crowded, but you end up driving into destin for all your entertainment. if you go to fort walton go to the boardwalk it is the only highlight.

We rented a penthouse at Destin West Bayside and it was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Lots of things for both adults and toddlers/kids to do and close to food/activities like the gulfarium all in walking distance. The units are individually owned and we were in penthouse 708 in the Pelican building- it was subtle and relaxing with amazing water and beach views. Would highly recommend it!

FWB is ok, The beaches are white sand and beautiful with awesome water, the city is nothing to write home about. Come for the beaches but dont plan on having a lot to do besides a few decent bars and resturants.
