South Seas Resort/Plantation is still very much under construction, although billing itself as partially open. The location and weather are hard to beat, but the sights and sounds of major construction make it impossible to have a restful vacation. The level of construction as well as the number of workers make it unsafe for families. Glad this vacation is over!

I love Captiva It has beautiful beaches and so much wild life. The shopping there is great if you go be sure to visit , the bubble room and the mucky duck for dinner and the Sanibel cafe for breakfast (clue- located in sanibel) And be sure to visit the ding darling wildlife refugee. If you want to see alligaters rare types of birds and manatees that is the right place to go.
