Big Pine Key is FantasticMy family has owned a place on Big Pine for my entire life. It's a great island because you're down past Marathon and Islamarada and all the tourist traps. It truly is the most natural key. At night take a ride over Bogie Channel to No Name Key and look at the beautiful Key Deer. Fishing off of the bridge at No Name Key is actually some ...1 of 1 Yahoo! Beautiful beach, friendly peopleBahia Honda State Park had the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. We stayed at a bed and breakfast with a private beach. Paradise!!!!great family atmosphere but close enought to key west for the adults. Quiet and charming. Deer,Fishing,Pizza, Locals, and Beer, What else do you need!!Fishing was great and Big Pine was Qiuet and relaxing with The local produce and flea market on the weekend.
Lots of colorfull people with out the touristy parking pile up of people.
Fishing off shore was like the old keys used to be.
Try staying at Parmers place and Fishing with Island Charters on Sunshine Key.
