We love Pagosa Springs. The beauty of the San Juan Mountains when taking day trips to explore, the trout fishing is outstanding in the rivers in the area, there are lots of good restaurants, there are many interesting things to visit that are only one day away, the weather in the summer is wonderful, the town is small and easy to get around and ...

Pagosa Springs is a little mountain cowboy town. Which if you like such things is great and if you dont visiting one is still fun for a few days. The river was a lot of fun I highly recommend renting a tube and risking your life at least once. We went to the Rodeo and saw mutton busting. They put small children on the backs of sheep. Too funny! ...

Love it

It is so beautiful to wake up and walk out the door and see the steam from the Hot Springs. If you can handle the smell for a while then it is a great place to go.
The first time I came to Pagosa was accidental. I was traveling with my grandchildren when it began to snow. We stopped in at the Malt Shop and were blown away at the beauty of the region. I have been back 4 times and am going again in March. The healing waters keep calling me back. I absolutely found Heaven in the waters and in the massage spa treatments at the Resort at the Springs.

Nice but awfully smelly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/05
I wish I realized what sulfur springs smell like before we decided to go there...the whole town smelled like rotten eggs!!!!
On the positive side, the town was quaint, the springs were clean, and the river running though town was a nice attraction. There were people tubing and kayaking all day.It seemed to be a great place for kids. There is a ...
