everything about manitou is incredible, from the people to the shopping to the scenery. if i could live any one place in the universe this would be it. a must see for anyone in the area. we will be staying in manitou on our next trip, no reason to leave the area really. incredible!
Manitou Springs has to be the best place in Colorado. I had driven through a couple of years of ago with my cousin when we drove across country. We just breezed through on our way to Divide, but I thought I would have to return when I had more time... And when one of my best friends moved to Colorado Springs, I knew I finally had my chance to go ...
Manitou Springs, located in a valley in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and in the shadow of Pike's Peak, is a lovely town. The shops are okay, only a few are exceptional: Mostly just touristy. You are so close to Garden of the Gods, and many other attractions. There are mostly just older motels and B&B's in the area, which adds some charm. Great place for families especially with young to teenage kids.
This sight does no justice of Manitou Springs I know because I lived there for 8 years. There is so much beauty to be shown such as The Cliff house, the Seven minute springs, the brookeside that I forgot what they now call it (the spa?), the library, the view from Manitou alone. I love Manitou and will be back to visit in a few months. The town and the people are one of a kind. This web sight needs a boost.
This is a neat little town. The cog Railway is right here for Piuke's Peak. There are natural Soda Springs on the sidewalks, you have to taste (made an excellent mixer back at the Garden of the Gods Motel that night in the room)
I wish we had more than one day here. I'd definitely come back for a few more.

We had a wonderful time in Manitou Springs, there was so much to do in and around the area...we were never bored. Definitely a family-oriented vacation town! We will be back.

Great value! You get what you pay for here. Simple, quiet and convenient to all sight-seeing in the area. We had a king size bed, with a microwave, and small refrig. Nothing fancy, but it left us with a lot more extra money for seeing everything in Cripple Creek, Colorado Springs, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little town rich in history, and family friendly activities. The scenery is awe-inspiring and peaceful. Perfect place to visit when the city gets a little overwhelming.
Unique gifts can be found in the countless little shops. From modern items, true Native American art and crafts, Western style items, to crystals, and handmade candles.

The atmosphere is awesome! Feels like a small town, but has everything you might need...food, lodging, entertainment. There is something for everyone.
