Cottonwood Pass Ski TripWe were in Buena Vista for a few days. Lots of hanging around and shopping. On Sunday, we rented skis at the Trailhead and drove out Cottonwood Pass road. The snowmobilers have the road closed, and groom it. Makes for very easy sking.

Aspens in the MountainsWe were in the Salida and Buena Vista area at the beginning of October. Perfect timing to catch the Aspens turning. They were golden from the valley floor to the top of the passes. This seems pretty unusual based on other years, where the colors seemed to travel down the mountains through the fall season.

Combination Snowmobile and Fishing townWe were in Buena Vista for a combination snowmobile trip, fishing trip.
The guided snowmobile trip was amazing, up to 11,000 feet with great weather and great views. Lots of wind in the high country, but the weather was mostly warm.
