We flew into Reno and by the time we made it to Caesar's in Lake Tahoe it was dark. I woke up the next morning and looked out the window and couldn't believe my eyes. It was so gorgeous!!! The lake is stunning and the countryside is so green and beautiful. We went in May and could still see snow up in the mountains. I hope to go back ...

You don't have to ski to enjoy South Lake Tahoe. The Red Hut Waffle Stop is well worth the trip. The scenery is spectacular but if you go in winter, watch for black ice around the lake. The Forest Inn is a fun place to stay---condo style and fairly inexpensive. However, the round beds and mirrored ceilings at the Caesar's Tahoe is fun as all get out!!! Drive around the lake and see some really interesting sights that are unique.

When this place was originally pitched to me I thought ~ snobs and skiers... Oh how wrong I was. Everyone was very nice and very down to earth. I don't ski and I loved every minute of our visit. During our visit last April we got 2 feet of snow. I have never seen anything that compares to how beautiful this place was...

me i like to cgamlbe sky this mopuntian town is world class in many ways .. Its 4 season joy only wish i could live and work there always a favor get a way, a second home of sorts for this playful man..

Its a great place to visit! I have been there a couple of times and find the place to be quite good.
Still need to explore the winter sports there..

I can't wait to go every year. I have been visiting and vacationing in So Lake Tahoe every year since 2002 and love going back every year. The people are so nice the atmosphere is great. The shopping is wonderful, even the fast food ( Ma & Pa ) joints are great! the Lake is awesome, perfect, like being in Heaven.....lol get it Heavenly ...

South Lake Tahoe is a great place! The Lake is so beautiful any time of the year. There are tons of things to do in Tahoe, such as: shopping, go see shows, water activities, going to the beach, eating at great restaurants and having a great time with the family! I love Lake Tahoe!!!

I always enjoy the scenery at Lake Tahoe it is and always has been something to see. And the fresh air and the mountains as well as the lake it's self, I have always called it God's Country!!
As far as the dislikes is the fast pace and some (not all) of the people's attitudes. The fast pace what I mean by this is if you are not used ...

I visited Lake Tahoe on the thanksgiving weekend with my family from Napa. We arived in sunshine and could enjoy the beautifull scenary in full colour.Then came Friday and the longawaited snow.I still cannot believe how blessed I was. The stay at Rustic Cottages was excellent. For a South African seeing snow in such a beautifull place was very special.
