I had heard much about Mendo, but was really suprised by how sleepy the town is. It is really just a three block walking town. Full of nice art galleries. There are things to do like canoe or kayak or hike along the estuary. There are a couple good restaurants and local pubs. But definitely meant for a low key, quiet type of family get away. ...

Small bed and breakfast hotel.

Disappointed that main SR 1 was between hotel and sea. Also no close access to get down to any beach.

Hotel was clean and friendly with excellent breakfast.

Nice area with superb state park to north of Fort Bragg. Hotel in fact is just south of Fort Bragg.

Disappointed with food in Fort Bragg - overpriced and not good value.

Mendocino a short drive away and is a must for any visit to the area.

We just finished a wonderful 3 night stay in Mendocino over the Labor Day break. This is a fantastic area for those seeking a relatively quiet and relaxing time to get away from it all.

The town is quaint and small; virtually shut down after 5 but crowded and busy in the weekends with those stopping by.
