Old meets New

Folsom has that great blend of the old gold rush flavor with new, vibrant devlopment. It was a Pony Express stop and the terminous of the first railroad west of the Mississippi River. Experience the off market price shopping of the Folsom Outlets or cruise the many miles of Class 1 bike trails along the Humbug-Willow Creek Corridor. Stay in a B&B or the Lake natoma Inn overlooking Lake Natoma and the historic Rainbow Bridge crossing.

The Greatest Little City on Earth!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/05
Folsom is a city that has is all. The taste and novelty of an "old town". Just take a stroll down Sutter Street for a trip back in time. An old time family owned Confectioneer, Snooks Candy and Ice Cream Polar. A Hotel that over looks the American River. The raised wooden side walks that front at least 2 dozen shops, boutiques, ...
A place where you would only drop by if you pass by for some reasons. But its a quiet and peaceful place where if you look for a 1-2 day getaway, not a bad choice :)And its within 45 mins drive to city of Sacramento and 1hr drive to Lake Tahoe
