This place is absolutely beautiful. I live in San Diego and never get tired of visiting this place...you see and learn something new every time. It really is the Jewel of San Diego. Be sure to ask about Kate Morgan (ghost) during your visit.

We went to the Hotel del Coronado for Easter weekend & if you love kids- you'd love the del. It's a very family oriented place. We are both under 30 and without kiddos yet but it was even fun for us. They have cool bars through out the hotel and really nice cafes along Orange Drive. The Gas Lamp Dist. in SD is really fun too at night ...

Whenever you are in Coronado you simply must visit the Coronado Beach - it's a sandy beach, well equipped in all beach facilities. No words... it's just a beautiful area. The Travel Channel names Coronado as one of North America's Top 10 Beaches - no wonder.

Very convenient to San Diego, but the island is quiet and more calm. Beautiful area, nice to walk around. Good restaurants very casual. A must see, stay on it if you can!!
It can be a bit pricey, like all resort areas, but fun for a splurge.
We stayed at the Marriott, it was wonderful, the water taxi was not worth the price, just drive off the island if you have a car. I love California to begin with, and Coronado fit just right!!
