Simply peaceful. Stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge in one of their suites that accomodates up to 6. Walked into the villages both west and east. Eat at Linn's for dinner next to the B of A. Excellent food and grown there. Organic as well. I really needed to relax and for the first time in along while I did. I seemed more civil according to my ...

A special place...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/07
My husband and I recently spent a weekend in this lovely village. If you are looking for a place to relax, where the locals are friendly and the scenery superb, this is it. The Black Cat for dinner was a great eating experience and The French Corner Bakery had great coffee and morning treats. Don't miss shopping at Exotic Nature in the west ...
... Cambria would be the place! We did a coastal California trip in June--I was born and raised there but had not been back in 30 years--and discovered Cambria by accident. I immediately fell in love and have been threatening to run away from home to go live there. The atmosphere is beyond five-star; the people are friendly; the scenery is just ...

Home Away From Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/06
This is the little piece of heaven that you can be away from smog and noise and just simply relax and enjoy the nature. The sunset of Moonstone beach is gorgeous. Me and my love one once sit on the beach watching the sunset until the sky was filled with sparkling stars. Cambria is a very romatic & memorable place.

Perfect get away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/06
My boyfriend and I recently went to Cambria and had such a romantic and fun time. We went to lunch at Robin's and has coffee every morning at Lily's next to Garden Shed on Main Street. Virginia, the owner of Lily's, is so nice and a long time local with great advice on places to go. We stayed on Moonstone Beach at the Fog Catcher. Rain or Shine this is a perfect get-away. Oh yeah, the Hearst Castle tour is very interesting.

We Love This Town....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/07/06
My husband and I love Cambria as our favorite get-away. We always encounter friendly people where we stay, eat and shop. Chenoa on Main Street is a new favorite eating spot, as well as Indigo Moon right next door. Favorite shopping stops are The Garden Shed, Paper Omelette and Exotic Nature in the west village. You can find mid-week specials at ...

Adorable little town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/01/06
Great town with fun shops; almost no nightlife--it's to dinner and then bed; good proximity to Hearst castle; a good place for a weekend trip; beautiful drives on the coast
I really like Cambria. We stayed in Cayucos on this last visit but drove to nearby Cambria for dinner at Robin's (most excellent) as well as lunch at Linn's. The shops are fun to explore as well.
Strolling along Moonstone Road and the beach walk is great.

From Every Window, The Ocean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/05
The Big Red House in Cambria is a true home away from home. A two-story house with garage on a hill, three blocks from the ocean, with a sea view from just about every window, a fully equipped kitchen, a Temper-Pedic bed in the master bedroom, a jacuzzi tub, and even a washer and dryer. Incredibly reasonable and furnished with original art, ...

Courtyard Deli in Cambria, CA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/18/05
Great sandwiches and excellent value at this little deli in the west village. The food was so fresh.
Piece of advice...go for an early lunch. We just beat the afternoon rush of local merchants and other tourists that caused a line out the door, the stairs and onto the sidewalk.
