Fun place to visit, a little small if you're from a cityArcata is a fun little town tucked away in the northwest corner of California. It's right on the ocean and has its own flavor...where the hippies meet the loggers! Don't be surprised to see large trucks hauling redwoods while dreadlocked hippies hitch a ride on the freeway.

ExcellentThe service at this motel was excellent. The only negative I can see is that the hot tub is located at the opposite end of the facility from the pool.

City with a tarnished edge.Back in the late seventies and up until the late eighties, Arcata was a great place to live. lots of nightlife, many tourist options, and many of the conveniences that one can find in larger cities.
