We liked the bathhouses. The bathhouse tour was great. We stayed at the Long Island Lake Resort which is off Lake Hamilton and I highly recommend it. To me there wasn't mucht to do for kids. The aquarium was highly disappointing. It seemed dirty.
Awesome magic show at the drake theatre inside the duck tour building. Curious place to put a theatre almost didn't kniow about it but when we took a duck tour, a woman by the name of Joni showed us the theatre located inside,it's new this year they lease the space makes sense now anyways she gave us information on what to do while we were ...

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/08
I took my mom and daughter to Hot Springs for an overnight trip. We had a great time being together. But...we had problems at the Comfort Inn & Suites. Tub wouldn't drain and neither would the toilet. Couldn't use the computer in the lobby for the kids being allowed to play games on it. I have been going to Hot Springs for 25 years ...

It's OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/07
If you are a young couple looking for a great time, don't make AR your vaca or honeymoon spot. It has beautiful scenery and OK hotels, but it has nothing to do unless you enjoy riding a duck on the water. Downtown is nice and fun, but once you do it you don't want to go back. Restaurants are OK, if you are visiting downtown you have to go ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/25/07
I recently moved here and what a delightful change of pace. The atmosphere is laid back, easy going and down to earth. Top rate Golf courses, absolutely beautiful lakes for all types of fishing, black bass, trout, stripers you name it. There is also great hunting and plenty of public land you can get a little deer and turkey hunting in as ...
This was a great Resturant. Wonderful ,laid back atmosphere and clever decor. Tou can acess it by car or boat. It is located on Lake Hamilton.Eat inside or out on the deck with umbrelled tables. Really a nice experience. They have a homade salad dressing that os great as well as there spicy orange sauce. We will definetly go back.

My husband and I love to make trips to Hot Springs. For us, it can be a day trip as we live fairly close. Hot Springs has everything! It is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway and it is excellent for the whole family. There is something to do for everyone! You can ride the ducks,a must for all, or just spend the day relaxing on one of the ...
If you do nothing else here, go to the race track. It was the absolute place to be just before WWII and is still just as interesting. People still dress up at the Turf Club and it is a historical landmark. My grandparents and my parents used to go as my grandparents had a summer home in Hot Springs. I found it to be very much like they had always described it.

Good Ideas

We love to stay at Edgewater Resort on Lake Hamilton...very affordable and private! We go out on the deck and enjoy the water and sun with our cooler and it's so peaceful. Then for the evening...try Smiley's Crab Shack... They open up to the water so it doesn't get too smoky... and there is always a great band! We were there thru the ...
