Air smells clean, water tastes fresh and pure, people are generally friendly and warm, lay of the land is so very interesting, history is prevalent and folks take an active interest in preservation. There is nothing we don't like about Prescott except maybe the fact that we live so far away from it.

Nice Place

I must admit I have lived in Prescott for 17 years, but I still like it here. My husband and I travel quite abit but always realize what a great spot Prescott is. We have wonderful weather - a little touch of all 4 seasons. Then we have a great mix of people - artists, students (3 colleges), musicians, retired folks, young families, skaters, ...

Don't go here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/06
This place has bad food and the worst service in the world. I have been to alot a hotels but this has been the worst.
I've moved many times in my life. After vacations, I was always sad to come back home, whereever home was at the time.
I moved to Prescott in 1984 and am so glad I did. It's beautiful, quaint, getting a little edgy, and really does deserve the title everybody's home town.
You'll want to live here, too, if you visit.
I've traveled a lot in the years since I made Prescott my home and I am always glad to get back here.
I love Prescott. I always wanted a peaceful place to get away from California's rat race. I found it. It's a long drive if 7 hours are too much for you, of course I love seeing the country so I always drive. Be careful the desert is a place to be respected. If you leave California with a full tank of gas your only stop to refill should ...

An Oasis in the Desert
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
Prescott is a pretty little town that makes you forget that you are in the middle of the desert. The people are very friendly and the weather is much nicer than say, Phoenix, which is unbearably hot. There are great restaurants, museums, etc. Every night in the summer, there is an event going on in the town square, usually some kind of music. We ...
We went with a group of about 12 people for a meeting with our local VFW. After the meeting, we went out & about, to eat, drink & basically meet the town. It was about 8PM when we began walking around, there were people everywhere doing the same, the mix was eclectic, all ages, races, all smiling, all friendly. Music came from some establishments ...

An Old West Town
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/05
Prescott is a very alive town rich in culture and atmosphere. The people are very welcoming and the buildings are amazing. The food is excellent, and prices are cheap. The weather is nice and hot, and I can't wait to go again.

Worth a visit

Fun old west town to visit that isn't a ghost town. The town's history is interesting to me, and the Sharlot Hall museum complex is definitely worth an afternoon.
