If you are not into water sports, Havasu isn't the place for you to vacation. The climate is beautiful. The sunsets are breathtaking. But you can basically see everything in one day. After that, there's not much to it. Don't get a hotel near the bridge during summer holidays because of noisy college kids. DON'T DRIVE DRUNK HERE!! The cops will get you!! While here, take in the natural beauty of Havasu.

The cops seem to want to write tickets for anything even if they have to make it up. Going to court is no help, aside from being dragged back for every minor hearing, you will not get a fair trial! The local judge was just reprimanded for it! Come to Havasu on Vacation, leave on probation!

Lake Havasu is a dirty, boring, little town with nothing to do. And for anyone who raves about all the water activites.. that water is filthy, I can't believe anyone actually goes in it.

Hard to get help with boat engine
problems.No one works on weekends.

If you want to kick back for few days on a long cross country trip, LHC is fine. It is refreshing to see that much water after driving throught desert, and it is very affordable. I would not recomend it as a resort destination though. It'a very suburban, modern and tacky. Even with the lake it still too hot in the summer. Go in the spring or fall.
