o It is a long boring drive from Kenai. You would think from a map that you are driving along the water, you are not. You are driving along a ton of trees blocking the water which makes for a boring drive. When you arrive in Homer there is not all that much to do. But be sure to visit the winery (Bear Creek Winery). It is super cute, excellent wine, and great staff! There are also some nice shops and visitor centers, check those out too.

We had a great two week in Homer. We stayed with the people who run Dragonfly Aero. Besides driving all over the Kenai Peninsula on day trips, we also enjoyed learning how to fly a float plane on the big lake in Homer, Beluga I think, and several lakes across the bay. Nice clean cabin convenient to both the Homer Spit and downtown. It is also within a quarter mile of the Homer Brewery and I found this very convenient at times.
