Mobile has a nice setup. There are a variety of areas and attractions to visit. Shopping is convienent to most towns. The beach is only an hour away, so there is a lot to do within a short distance!

Loved the scenery, the canopy of trees over Government St.in the midtown area. Driving thru the historic area with many homes over 100 years old. The Oakleigh district with its Victorian Historic homes. The Mobile, Al area has much to offer all ages. From the young at heart to the middle ages all the way to those in there Silver age.
I was born and raised in Mobile, I could not think of a better place to live and raise my children

Home, though I don't live there

My father's family is from Mobile, and many of them still live there. I have great memories of spending time there, and lived there for a short time in the early 90's. I was there most recently in Feb. 2004.
I agree with the person from Anniston, who said the neighborhoods needed "updating." Probably true, but the neighborhoods ...

emergency at the merriott

My daughter was on her way to her next job,when she got sick and had to stop an get a hotel room. She stoped at the merriott and the next morning she was still sick. Thepeople at the merriott was so nice to her ,They called the ambulance and got her to the usa hospital wher she stayed a month . She almost died ,had it not been for such nice people ...
