I spent part of "65" & "66" in Huntsville. Had a Blast growing up in the woods and mountains. I went to Huntsville High and learned what Team Spirit was all about. Their Pep Rallys almost Scared me. I wonder what it's like now?? Say hey to Perry and Heather for me. Rick

Great People, Great Prices, Great Place.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
There is very little traffic, the people are friendly, and their are lots of great restaurants and shopping. The Tennessee River, Lake Guntersville, and Lake Wheeler make this a water sports enthusiasts dream location and the fishing is world class. There are mountains, hiking, biking, conoeing and kayaking spots all around.
You just can't beat it and the real estate is still fairly inexpensive.
Come on down now, ya hear.

HIDDEN VALLEY OF FUN!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Huntsville has alot to offer, more than one would expect! There is a highly educated population so one of the main attractions is NASA right off of 565. There are also various cafes and plenty of night life. If you are a nature lover there are plenty of trails to hike and bike on in the surrounding mountains. A must see on your southern adventure close to Nashville, Atlanta and Birmingham!

Southern Charm with High Tech Modernism
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Huntsville is a city unlike what is found in the rest of the state. Nestled in the Heart of the Tennessee Valley, the backdrop of the city rests on the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. There are several great golf courses that take advantage of the beautiful scenery located in and around the city. Celebrating the Southern Charm, Huntsville ...
Huntsville is easy to get around. There is shopping, restaurants, some nice hotels, sports, recreation opportunities on the Tennessee River and on area lakes. There is a Robert Trent Jones golf course in nearby Hampton Cove.
If you can't find something fun to do in Huntsville or its surrounds, you just aren't looking very hard!
I haved lived here for 8 years, I must say that the folks here were not excited about "them St. Louis people" coming to their town. It took a while to be accepted.
There is alot of old people here, but it is quite nice for an 1-2 hour drive to B'ham and Nashville. S&R Center = lame. Green Mountain Park is excellent with a path ...

A great place to raise a family...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/05
When I was younger (in my teens/early 20s) I would always complain that there wasn't much to do. But now that I've got my own family, I realize this is the place to raise your family.
The crime is low, the schools are good, and the costs are low. What more could you want.
Also, with my age, came some wisdom. Even though we ...
As a Huntsville native, and still am living in this city, there have been so many ups and downs in this city it's ridiculous. Huntsville need to focus more on its younger demographic and quality of life standards. So far, the mortgage prices for homes are the lowest in the country, jobs are on top of every magazine list, and the city was ranked ...
I'm from NYC and went to Huntsville for a graduation last year. So with NY, big city attitude, I'm thinking small southern town, nothing to do, blah blah blah. Huntsville IS small but beautiful. It has all the conveniences of a larger city and the beauty of the country side. The most memorable experience though was the people. They ...

Would love to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/05
I travel all around the world and rate nightlife. I found one incredible live music and food pub in Madison, "The Station" was an incredible venue. Great service and a great time. I also discovered a hidden secret in Huntsville. One of the best dance music djs Ive ever heard. He is Dj Danny C. Not to be confused with the UK dj of the same name.
