We spent a week at Gulf Shores for the first time last November and played Golf at 5 great courses. The area was not crowded and people was very friendly typical southern. Gulf shores has always been a part of my life. I have lived within 30 miles and even when it was strictly an island with a few cottages and a 2 lane beach road I have always loved it. In my generation it was our island to get away from even your small town life.
