We thought the hotel was great! The people were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, who spends time in the room anyway...The furthest attraction is only 2 miles away, although I wouldn't recommend walking unless you are used to a lot of exercise. The double decker bus tour was great, other than the fact that tehy seemed to be a ...

Great hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/12/09
This was my first trip to Rome and I couldn't have chosen a better location. The hotel is a block to Termini, lots of cabs on Via Cavore, and a subway entrance is a block north. The hotel staff was very friendly, someone on staff always new English and they were super helpful. Our room and bathroom were larger than I expected for Europe. The ...
I have been to italy 5 times is the past 7 years with different people each time. We have always visited Rome for about 3 days. The Mediterraneo is right across the street from the train terminal. Easy to walk even with your luggage, and I'm old. After staying in the Mediterraneo the first trip, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Location ...

Great Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/07
This hotel is located one block from Rome's central bus and train station (Termini). Breakfast is excellent with a great variety of food. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are not that small and you get amenities every day. I will definitely return to Rome and stay on this hotel.

Excellent Locate/Bad beds
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/06
Nice hotel but the beds were hard as boards. If your room faced the street, noise is an issue. Courteous staff, nice breakfast, great coffee, but the beds were just too hard.

Mediterraneo is fantastico!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
Centrally located in Rome, a block from the subway and a block and a half from the Termini Train Station, the Mediterraneo cannot be beaten for a great location. The concierge staff and the people on the desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Being an older European hotel, the rooms were on the small side but that adds to the charm; our ...
