  • We stay there every time we visit Nice

    Okay, the Gounod is kinda showing its age, but it's still well maintained and clean. The staff has always been wonderful to us and the location is ideal. Ask for a room on an upper floor. They don't get as much street noise.

    We stayed at the Gounod in March during the Festival of '05. The Hotel is an little bit of a walk up hill from the Promenade d'Anglais, the main road from the airport. But this gets you to a spot removed enopugh from the comotion of Festival that you aren't in it all the time. The hotel staff were very helpful, exchanging money, giving ...
