Best hotel in which we have ever stayedA very attractive hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and vineyards. The rooms were exquisitely furnished and attractively decorated. The restaurant provided fantastic food with the best of champagne available too. A feast for the senses. You can relax in the pool overlooking the gardens and vineyards. Overpriced!Although in a lovely setting in the rolling vineyards of Epernay-Vinay, the Briqueterie is very expensive - especially the restaurant. The food is old nouvelle cuisine with far too many flavours competing on the plate. €74 for grilled sole between two people was small and over cooked. Excellent SojournMy daughter and I stayed two days at this hostellerie, and found the accommodations and hospitality splended. The staff, including our welcoming Kingsley from Mauritius, made every effort to make us feel at home. Best Experience EverWe've been to a lot of places, but nothing compares to this one. The menu had 3 or 4 options (all of which were great) but the champagne list was bigger than the bible. We had a local champagne, 20 years old, still the best bottle of anything we've ever had. If you're going to be in the area and you have the time, stay, eat dinner, have a bottle after dinner in the garden, and enjoy the sunrise with a baguette!You have found this review helpful.2 of 2 Yahoo!
