Excelent place in GuayaquilWe stay, my wife and I, in this hotel for 2 weeks, and we consider the Oro Verde is one of the best hotel in Ecuador.
Excelent service,food and the staff is willinfg to help you in any of you requirements.
Rooms are comfortable especialy the shower.

A nightmare!To make a long story short, it was not a good experience. I made a reservation for my mother who lives in Ecuador using my credit card. I thought a confirmation meant everything was set. Wrong! When she got to the hotel she was told that she needed to pay cash and would not acknowledge the reservation. When I called from the states they gave me the ...5 of 7 Yahoo! I hated this place!!!!I have traveled all over the world and I've never been treated so bad in a hotel. "This hotel is supposed to be a five star hotel??" My wife and I just returned from a year deployment in Iraq. We are both officers in the United States Army and this was our 10 day vacation after a long year defending our freedom. Guayaquil's best hotelWe stayed at the Oro Verde hotel and we thought we were either in the States or in Europe, because of the excellent service provided for us, we loved all the details, the flowers on the pillows everything was extraordinary.

Moldy.....Likes: the executive lounge and the breakfast buffet.
Dislikes: The hotel has a strong smell (and presence) of mold. If you have allergies, stay somewhere else! Not really close to much of anything. Beatiful place to be atWe loved the hotel we didn't think that southamerica could offer tremendous detailing services in out stay, but we are glad that we were wrong..!! The Swiss make an extraordinary touch we loved so much every single place that we went in Guayaquil was outstanding the tours, the waterfront was terrific......so we are really thankful to the travel agent that did all the arregements for us in Guayaquil...Thanks again guysYou have found this review helpful.7 of 7 Yahoo! Fantastic experienceI was so pleased and surprised at the excellent service at the Oro Verde Hotel, the quality of service ,the rooms and amenities and the restaurant facilities that I left Guayaquil with a totally different opinion that the one I arrived with. I t made my 14 day stay a lot happier than I expected it to be.
