1st room no a/c....stood on long line to get another room after arguing with staff....no microwave ,no refrigerator.....parking lot is a joke....even after paying extra for it..no gurantees for spot!

Reserved the room, personnel was courteous and friendly, easy access through the Central Bus Station. Breakfast was correct, not a 5 stars but good bang for the buck. You can see this place has a good potential, the rooms were confy, plenty of pillows, Flat screen TV and wi-fi. Very Good and for those looking for nice place to stay on a budget price .. This one is a winner.

So where to begin... The rooms were seedy, the management were apathetic and mean as well. I really am having trouble to put into words how bad this hotel is but lets just say I would have been a better investment (and probably cleaner) to sleep on on of the Metro trains

I think it is worthy to stay at Taj Mahal Hotel.
Good things:
- Location: it is close to everything in downtown. I went to the Jazz Festival and it was really good to walk back late at night, short walk.
- Affordable: Although I thought could be a little less expensive, but ok.

Stayed there on a Saturday Night, I thought it was just a great hotel. Good Value for the money. My room was on the 4th floor Non Smoking section, and was very well kept and quiet. I was so pleased with the accomodations that i am actually going back for a week for New years!

The rooms were okay - basic accommodation, nothing fancy... however, the problem lies with it's parking lot and staffing. Let's first start with the parking. If you do not look closely, you might miss it! Yes...there are only about 20 parking spots ...

Absolutely no redeeming features. Toilet placed so close to the wall, that you can't even sit on it properly. Noise from the bus terminal (gotta love diesel engines idling at 2am) ALL THE TIME. When buses weren't idling, all you hear is "beep, beep, beep" as they back out of their parking slot.

Best thing they could do is demolish this place.

For a budget hotel in Montreal, I would rank this one near the top of the list. I thought the rooms were a good size, the beds quite comfortable and the bathrooms clean and modern. The hotel amenities themselves were a little tired, but the accessibility of the hotel to the bus depot (next door), the Metro(one block) and Ste Catherine Street make ...

not bad , you can get more service with the low price .but I do not like to park my car over there . you know ,so many guests leave thire car in that place.
