VERY BAD SERVICEThe staff at this hotel are very unreliable. I had to stay at this hotel for nearly a month during a business trip. During my stay, my room was only cleaned once. I finally got a hold of a maid and asked her to clean my room and that I needed fresh towels. excellent hotel but be careful about your vehicleWe were a bit apprehensive after reading some negative reviews, but we enjoyed the hotel. The bedding, carpets and floors were all very clean and well maintained, and the WiFi and cable worked well. We enjoyed the breakfast downstairs, and the staff was polite. Good valueWe stayed at this hotel for 2 days for our anniversary. We picked it because of the central location and the historic building. We had a pleasant stay and thought the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel needs some renovations done to bring it up to date, but it was very comfortable and we would stay there again. Great downtown stay!Our trip to Winnipeg was brief, but our stay at the Marlborough Hotel in downtown was a wonderful bargain that made our stay memorable. The building is beautiful, right in the heart of downtown, and is surrounded by many things to do. Troble With OverchargeA friend and I stayed at this hotel for a concert date in Winnipeg. There was an accidental overcharge on our bill, which we dodn't realize until after we returned home. I placed MANY, MANY phone calls to accting, the general manager, shift managers and NOT ONCE did anyone return my call, even though every person I spoke to promised to. Very unacceptable! RamadaReally enjoyed our stay here in Winnipeg- the service personnel were great and the hotel was beautiful! Because it is downtown Winnipeg, there are lots of great shops right in the area. But also because of that, there are some sketchy characters walking around and lots of panhandlers begging outside just down the block. Overall, however, our stay was great, and some of those things the hotel can't control. We will definitely come back!6 of 6 Yahoo!
