Hotel room is big and clean but the parking charge is quite expensive. If you can find a good deal with this hotel, it will be much greater than the one on Banff Avenue. It worth the extra money.

Unforgettable!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/08
We booked 2 nights in Banff with our travel agent here in Australia based on information from the Internet and views of the area on Google Earth. It was the dearest hotel we were to stay in during our once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Alaska and Canada in September 2006. Although we booked a cheaper room without a valley view, it was just a short ...

A major disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/07
While the lobby and setting are lovely, the "deluxe" room was a disaster. The draperies were hanging off the rods, and the blankets were frayed and too small for the beds. Worse was the state of the bathroom. The tiles were chipped and black from mildew and mildew covered the ceiling. The hairdrier caught fire the first time it was ...

Best hotel in the Rockies
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/07
More elegant than Banff Springs, no endless tours with the lobby always full of luggage.
The view from rooms is breathtaking, the rooms are spotless, food is great. One has to experience a drink in the evening in the lobby by the fireplace.
A place to come back to year after year!

Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/07
This was a very nice hotel that is well maintained and has excellent restuarants. We had one minor issue, but this was handled promptly by hotel staff. Tip: Eat in the hotel lobby lounge. The food was some of the best we have had! The food must come from the 5 star restuarant located near the lobby. The Banff gondola and hot springs were within an easy walking distance. Perfect spot away from the "commercial" Banff.

Child friendly!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/06
We recently stayed at the Rimrock for 2 nights. We rented a suite which was spacious and comfortable for 5 adults and a baby. The service was great and we found the staff flexible and they went out of their way to provide us with 'baby gear'!
The room was very clean with a great view. The lobby was lovely and was a great place to ...

Would always want to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/05
I had a great vacation using the Rimrock as my homebase in Banff. The view from my room was breathtaking -- beautiful rocky mountain ranges. The food at the hotel was top quality. The saltwater pool was just great after a day of hiking. The spa adds a nice touch as well. The free shuttle between the Rimrock and Banff made getting in and out of town for sightseeing and meals very easy, especially if I didn't feel like driving.
