The hotel was a bit "old fashioned" but the main point is that the people at the reception desk was totally interested in our comfort and did not want to take into consideration our problems. And what a disappointment: the first dinner was included in the package but we had to pay it because we gave the voucher only at the end of the stay... So we paid twice and no argument was possible... What a shame.

Will stay here again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/08
My Fiancee and I stayed at this hotel for a couple nights when we went to banff in Nov of 2007. We did lots of research on the internet before we decided to stay there, and we weren't disappointed. We chose just a standard room with a king sized bed and a balcony, and needless to say, it was good value for the money. We found the room very ...

Labor Day Weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/07
The hotels website over-hypes what you actually see when you arrive. The rooms were VERY SMALL and the lobby was uninviting. We booked for 4 nights and they stuck us in the front of the hotel right where the cars pulled into the driveway. Absolutely no privacy.
On our first morning there was no hot water and they told us to "go upstairs ...

My boyfriend and I Spent one night in Banff for a romantic getaway and we did alot of research about what kind of room we wanted and decided on the Rundlestone Lodge. We chose the king loft, which included a LARGE 2 person Jacuzzi tub, kitchenette and cozy fireplace. The room was spotless and very cozy. Our stay was romantic and the only real ...

Extremely Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
There seemed to be alot of 'hype' placed on their website with regards to the Rundlestone. When we arrived, the front desk clerk seemed 'bothered' by our presence and did not go into specifics about the hotel or it's amenities. Upon check out the following day, we had decided to stay one extra night and they simply told us it ...

a must stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/06
this hotel is changed to a new owner in June 2006. The new owner really works hard to make it a must-stay place. It is about 1 mile to downtown Banff, which is actually a good thing that it is very quiet yet convenient if you want to have a walk or shopping in the town. The loft style room is pretty cool with nice view balcony and even a in-door ...

Stayed for four nights sept 2005. Saff was cordial but did not make you feel welcome. Pricey for the limited amenities. Housekeeping was poor. Requested that the sheets be changed and they were not. Went to the front desk and got new sheets and changed them. Wrote a letter to the ownwer and have not received a reply. I would not stay there again.
