Rab Roberts of Indianapolis, IndianaMy wife and I were married there back in 1996 and we loved it. The staff was great, the Cabin we had was brand new and we had a perfect view of the Teton Mts. The Lodge food was very good too. We stayed at Flagg Ranch for 10 days and loved every minute of our stay. Pass on Flagg Ranch :(Location is very good - right outside of Yellowstone's South Entrance, but that's about were things end. Rooms are a throwback to the 1970's (and not in a good way) the campground next to the rooms are loud, the on-site restaurant is average at best, and everyone who works there seems to have complained about working there - very odd. ...Was this review helpful? perfect for outdoorsy typesLoved the setting for the cabins. Fantastic view of mountains. Private porch amid grasses and trees. Mosquitos bad. For a cabin, rather upgraded (new bath fixtures etc) Not a 5 star hotel but who expected one? Much better than cabins at other lodges in the park. But less fancy than rooms in other lodges. Question for guest that stayed 8/05I do not believe Flagg Ranch has any control over how tall their trees get? Did you know there was a massive fire there just a few years before this???

Just okayAlthough the location was great, the place itself was just okay - not good and not bad. The room we had was a decent size, but pretty basic in style and amenities. Food was about the same. Yellowstone and Teton BaseWe used Flagg Ranch as a base for a week of exploring Yellowstone and the Tetons. Had breakfast every day in the lodge and while prices were normal for the park the food was outstanding and enough that we were not ready to eat again until evening. Not ever gonna happen again.All I can truely say is that the type of business that finds it's general comfortable to pull an employee aside and belittle her in front of everyone in the dinning room customer and other employees alike is a HORRIBLE PLACE.Was this review helpful? Awesome LocationWe have been traveling from Oklahoma to the Grand Teton area every year for over 10 years, and on almost all of the occassions we have stayed at Flagg Ranch. There's better places than flagg ranch resortMe and my wife just returned from a vacation at Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We booked reservations 2 months in advance at Flagg Ranch Resort since it seemed like a good location between the 2 parks.
