Went there for my 10th anniversary. One night cost me $1200!!! The room and 1 massage for each of us was $518.00 plus taxes, tips and resort fees. They charged me $250 for smoking in the room- we don't smoke, but try to prove it! We ordered champagne and chocolates, they delivered it twice by mistake and charged us $98 for each time. The ...
I have read previous emails and some of the statements are correct. Grand Geneva is not near the lake but if the person would have done his/her homework they would have known that...by the way, who goes to a resort and really wants to be somewhere else? All of the resort rooms were just remodeled and they are beautiful. Try to reserve a room ...
They quote you a price but then add on $12 for 2 bottles of water (didn't want, didn't need), internet access (didn't bring a computer), paper (had the same paper waiting for me at home), valet parking (couldn't use because I couldn't even get near the hotel) and local phone (who uses the phone in their hotel room these days?). ...
I've stayed at Grand Geneva about 10 times over the past 7 years. Mostly for 4th of July, New Year's, Valentine's Day type holidays.
I feel like Grand Gevena used to be so much more until it changed it's management company. The service used to be a lot friendlier and accomodating than it has become in the last few years. The ...

Enjoyed It
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/08
Just returned from a two night stay. Staff very friendly and consistently and repeatedly went out of its way to be helpful. Enjoyed both restaurants, but particularly Brissago. Grounds are beautifully landscaped. Facilities are a bit dated, but very nice. Did not use spa facilities.
No elevators - lots of stairs in this facility and no help with your luggage. Ice machines are not on every floor so myself and my husband, both being disabled had a very hard time at this place. I would not stay here again, ever.
I was at a conference and the food service was sluggish as well
Breakfast in the lounge was pretty good.

Stay somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/08
This resort is located a few miles from the Lake.(not the best location if you want to be by water). The rooms were large enough to be comfortable but had an outdated look. The food was good but the service was very slow and was pricey. The spa has a more locker room look but the massage was good. When I return to the Lake Geneva area in the summer I will stay somewhere else.
SKIING: We only stayed for one day, one night, and our stay was still composed of one frustrating event after another. I booked a "Stay and Ski" package for my husband and I, which included one night's stay and two lift tickets. When we got up to the "mountain top" and stepped up to the equipment rental desk, there were 4 ...
We have been going to the Grand Geneva for years. We have seen many ups and downs there. But, we have always had a great time!! I LOVE the chop house, it is $$, but it is a steakhouse. The trick to the service is to act like you belong. Ask for nothing and DEMAND everything. Else, they will eat you alive. We always stay in the Orange Lake ...
