This Hilton reminds me of a grand old lady...at a distance. When you get close you realize she is really quite shabby, worn out and smells bad. The rooms are dark and the lamps didn't work most of time. I had no choice but to remain in this hotel for a week and the whole place smelled dank and musty. I travel for a living and I spend alot of time in Hilton brand hotels. This hotel was not up to par. The rooms were dark, carpets stained and furniture and paint dented and scratched. We got a reservation last minute because our original hotel was a dump. I made an online reservation and had to call to add an additional day. Within minutes of arriving they were aware of my changes and were able to accommodate us immediately and this was at 1:00am! The rooms are clean and exceptional to many places we have stayed. Decent hotel, especially for one at the airport, but walls are very thin (so can be noisy). In addition, parts of the hotel are under renovation again, so it is difficult to use things like the health club!!

OVERALL
Great location for travel!

As we all know, there is no place like home. But while at the Airport Hilton in Norfolk, Va. the effort is made to make you feel like your almost there. The rooms are moderatly decorated and more importantly the beds are quite comfortable. THe service recived wasn't the creme de la creme, but it was well recived. I would recomend to any weary traveler to stay at the Hilton!
