I LOVE Big Ed's...RIDICULOUSLY TASTEY!! The ribs, catfish, chicken and more is just mouthwatering...and don't let me forget the GREENS. Best greens I've ever had. They make everything fresh to order and the BBQ sauce is to die for.OVERALL

t's a pity that pit BBQ took so long to come to North Chicago. Well, it's here now at Big Ed's BBQ on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Even Simon Cowell would howl as he wolved down pit BBQ'd rib tips, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, turkey and homemade hot links slow roasted over hickory logs. I have been to an awful lot of BBQ places thru out the South and Big Ed's beats them all. It is by far the greatest BBQ up North. The family and staff are the friendliest and very very good. If you drive by Big Ed's BBQ, you will notice the smokey smell right away. I live a half a block away and am constantly reminded of this great BBQ place. I haven't tried everything yet, but the pulled pork is so moist and flavorful. The sauce is on the sweet side with a bit of tartness, which is my favorite. In a word, WOW! Don't ask questions just go and order a slab of ribs. You will not be disapointed! Its some of the best BBQ we have ever had and far exceeds anything in the area. We had the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, pound cake, german chocalate cake and the peach cobbler with nothing left over. Licked clean....stomach full...well fed...just go.OVERALL
