u cant put it into words. the history here is just unreal. there is a since of peace around. the art is just awesome and im not the biggest art fan in the world by any means. go early in the morning. easily u cud spend the day here, and more. breath taking
The Vatican is a place to see with a guided tour only. That way you can know about everything. And still enjoy the absolutely amazing building. The art and sculptures you have to see. There are no words that can let you know how beautiful of a place it is. You also have to love walking.
We took a tour around, and we found the entire place amazing! Our tour guide told us about almost everything. There is so much history about it that it almost got a bit too much. But in all, it was a great experience and i plan on going back someday!

Somewhere you must see before you die!

You absolutely CANNOT go to Rome and not visit the Vatican. The amount of history present in just this one area is more than you can take in in just one trip. I went several times while in Italy. The beauty of it is truly beyond words.

Quite a sight

I don't believe there are words to describe this city. Even if you are not Catholic, you will truly enjoy this city. Be sure to see the museum and courtyards. My husband and I got some sandwiches and just hung out in St Peter's Square and people watched. It was a treat just seeing peoples faces when they first take in the magnitude of the square. The artwork and sculptures are just beyond words.

I recently returned home from a visit to Italy of 14 days. I was in Rome for part of or all of 4 of those days. Each of those 4 days found me at St. Pter's. It is impossible to put into words of how beautiful St. Peter's is.
I was lucky enough to be there for the Wednesday general audience of Pope Benedict. It was an incredible ...
These people are not kidding when they say there is a dress code - and rightly so, since the Basilica is one of Catholicism's holiest sites! I cannot tell you how many people--men and women--I saw being pulled out of line and told they cannot go in because they were wearing tank tops and/or shorts. People: the line is VERY VERY long and the ...

Go to St. Peter's Bascillica, it is massive and beutiful. Get a tour guide because you will miss a lot if you dont have one. For example the tallest part of the Cathedral could house the statue of liberty with 40 meters to spare.
