If you are looking for a non-chain inn, this is the place. There are lots of hum drum chain options in San Luis Obispo but this inn is newish, clean, well-kept and has a more residential feel in their rooms. The first thing you notice is the relaxed feel of the property. Rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated. Some of the most comfortable beds you will find. Access to restaurants and shopping is reasonable. The staff is both courtious and attentive. This establishment is certainly worth a visit!

I used to stay here regularly when it was under different ownership. Now the employees seem miserable, the uniforms and reception room are tacky and rather upsetting, and the servise is awful. There are also many amenities advertised that the hotel actually does not offer!

We stayed there for four nights sight unseen and would return again. The mansions were all night and well kept.

What a nice surprise! Everything about this place is great... the room was huge, bathroom felt like a day spa, new release movies were available for free to check out, breakfast was a treat with things like freshly made quiche & homemade oatmeal, not to mention Starbucks coffee! The staff gave great suggestions on restaurants and places to visit.
It was also fun to choose the style of room we wanted to stay in... WE WILL RETURN!!!
