GREAT HOTEL WITH ITS SERVICE, EXCELLENT PEOPLE, A LOT TO DO IN JAMAICA IF YOU LIKE ACTIVITIES. THE OCEAN WATER WASNT THAT CLEAR OF WHAT I EXPECTED TO DO OUR ARRIVAL AFTER THE HURRICANES. ENJOYED ZIP LINE AND HORSE BACK RIDING TOUR.

You are on vacation -- don't sweat the small things. You have to remember you are in a foreign country with a different culture. We just returned. Sure they were a few things we didn't care for, but we made the best of them. The food was fine and we had no problem getting reservations for Sir Andrew or Luigi's (didn't have time ...
Our group just came back from a week's stay at the Club Hotel Riu Negril. There were 57 people in our group. WE HATED THIS HOTEL. The beach was not a clear tropical blue - it was mucky and disgusting. After you got out of the nasty water you were then eaten alive by sand fleas. Some of our rooms were not cleaned for 3-4 days, a couple of ...
I paid in advance for a six day stay at ClubHotel Riu Negril. Our flight was delayed by weather in Miami, when we arrived the following day, we were told the our reserved room had been rented / sold to someone else, and if we would pay an additional $750 US Dollars, we could be accomodated at another resort. They took my money and left me out in ...
We were bumped from the Riu ClubHote in Negril in August 2008. The trip had been confirmed with the hotel for over 3 months. It was supposed to be a pleasant holiday celebrating a 30th birthday but instead we were faced with terrible customer service and zero apologies or explanations.
We were moved to a nice resort down the road however the ...
Stayed there back in November 2007. We did not care for the service received from the front desk. Check-in was a major hassle. We were assigned rooms that were way towards the back with street traffic noise when occupancy was very low. We had to make a stink about that before we were move to rooms that were closer to the beach and lobby ...
We went here Aug 13-18 2008 for a wedding. We brought our 4 year old along. Good things include 2 adult pools, plenty of buffet times/places to eat, nice room, very helpful and courteous staff and beautiful beach.
Bad things were no a/c in the restaraunts, no elevators in the hotel buildings and not a lot of variety in the food offered at the ...
I just returned home from this resort...great place, friendly staff, great buffets, great pools, great beaches, great everything. Go check it out, you won't be sorry.
Check in was a drag. We arrived @ 2:30 p.m. - the front desk act as if they weren't expecting us. We waiting a bit for them to hand us the keys to the room (1/2 hour), because "they were 100% sold out". We were in the 3rd building, quiet a ways from the main building, but no problem (I'll get my exercise ...
I stayed at this hotel with another guest (our first visit to RIU hotel and first visit to Jamaica) for seven days this March 2008. Overall, we had fun moments but some problems listed below (along with some tips and advice):
- Our travel agent didn't book us transportation from the airport to the hotel When you book your trip, make sure ...
