This intimate, luxurious and historical hotel has undergone a complete transformation both in terms of food quality, service and amenities. As a former marketer in the hospitality industry I have been fortunate to have frequented many of the nation's most expensive hotels. This little gem has it all - I don't even bother to think of going ...
I had my wedding at The Chanler in July 2008. The staff was wonderful, the food was absolutely amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. Expensive....yes, but you get what you pay for. One year later our guests still rave about our wedding. :)
The Chanler was GREAT. Wonderful room (decorated exquisitely but small). The service was terrific from the concierge to the driver who took us to the St. Patricks Parade! The Spiced Pear was one of the best dining experiences I've had and breakfast was terrific. It is charming and worth any rate! Monika (Sacramento, CA)

I was convinced that after growing up on Bellevue Avenue, nothing could compare. I am happy to say that I could not get enough of the Heaven on earth that you provided. Thank you. Gordon McCleary

Ripped Off in Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/07
Had dinner with friends staying here & didn't want to comment & make them feel uncomfortable. Huge prices for microscopic portions of ordinary food, e.g.beet salad = 1 small beet. They had four course dinner as part of package. My third & main course was served with their fourth but my wife's main course(all of two scallops and ...

I will be back in April, I can't wait
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/07
we were searching on the internet for a special place to celebrate our Valentine's day, and we came across The Chandler at the Cliff and we decided that was the place we wanted to spend our Valentine's weekend. The room was as luxurious, romantic with the most beautiful view, the staff was wonderful, the restaurant had a superb cuisine, we rate this wonderful paradise with a 5 Star.

Not Worth It
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/07
My wife and I spent a three day weekend for our 20th Aniversary. It was an enormous rip-off. It would be ok if they charged $150 per night, but for $600 per night it was nothing less than an con job.
Besides requiring a rediculously late check in and an even more absurd early check out, the staff was remarkably unhelpful, and even rude.

Stop Don't Go! Looks Nice But Worst Experience EVER!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/06
This is the greatest illusion ever. Get a beautiful property, design it with the most opulent materials, placed on a cliff facing the ocean, and you think you've reached paradise! Not Even Close! I made a reservation for a party of 22 to dine outside, the setting is beautiful. After two hours of no food, or service we complained. The ...
