A mixture of fun and educational history. Something for everyone. So much detailed information....if you love history and spy's this is the place to go. It was worth the trip and the price. We will go again soon to spend time with things we missed the first time.

If you have a half a day and you are in DC you should go here. Don't come last on a weekend because the line to get in gets very long.

Fun for all
By galaxyjackson, 10/25/05
Great interactive experience. Fun for all ages. You get to pretend to be a spy while learning about the history and future of spying. The museum does a great job of balancing the fun that we imagine spying to be with the serious need for intelligence in times of war.

FUN!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/24/06
WE had so much fun!!! There were kids and adults there. A lot of hands on things to do. You have to choose a secret name and then you have to memorize your character. Make sure you remember as much as possible cause they ask you more at the end of the tour.

The Spy Museum is not free, and for the expeirence it should not be. For a paltry 14.00 you get a great self paced tour of espionage and history. The museum is much larger than appears from the outside. We spent 3 hours and thought it was a bargain. They provide a great gift shop and nice, modern and reasonably priced cafe next door. This was a great trip off the typical D.C. museum track. Take your time and appreciate all they have.

Perfect for a jaded 14 year old (and his parents)
By cinemaven11, 07/25/06
Finding the perfect place for a 14 year old who is completely museumed out and a husband who'd rather be golfing seemed impossible... thank heavens for the Spy Museum! I went along with the thought that this would be more fun for the guys than for me but I ended up enjoying it just as much as they did.
With all of the free attractions in ...

Don't miss this one
By yodalahey, 06/09/07
My husband and I (in our sixties) were not expecting much when we went into this place. That changed-we were there for 5 hours!! It was informative, interactive, and a whole lot of fun. All ages, I am sure, will enjoy this. Well worth the charge and the gift shop is downright inexpensive--did some Christmas shopping while we were there!!

Four fabulous hours
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/15/07
My wife and I on this Saturday in September trip to Washington DC decided to see two places in particular: the US Postal Museum (don't bother, even at free it isn't worth your time), and the International Spy Museum.
We bought our tickets at 10:45 am and went right up in the elevator (you go to the third floor and work your way down). ...

I'm going back!
By Denisha, 07/23/08
I went on a day they were having school trips so it was very crowded. For those of you who plan on taking little ones, strollers aren't allowed, but you can borrow a baby carrier to wear on your back. There are lots of interactive things to do and see. It was very interesting and I really enjoyed the museum. It was my favorite part of the trip. ...
