For an admission price of $16 each, a timed admission allows approximately 30 people in a room about12x12. The timed admission only seperates groups by 1.5 minutes. After the original seperation all the groups are dumped together into small rooms with small displays and alot of hands on activites. There is no sense of direction and everyone is ...
If you are educated and have been paying attention to the world at large you won't learn much new here.
But the site is fun for the Kids and is certainly interactive.
The tickets however are somewhat pricey.
If you are really interested in Spy stuff though before to visit the NSA cryptological Museum. It is less fun and less glitzy but a heck of alot more informative.

Great Museum, but waaaay too crowded
By Meagan, 11/29/06
Maybe it's just because we were there over Thanksgiving weekend, but it was very busy. Because we got our tickets last minute, we had to wait 2 hours to get in. Once we got in, there were tons of people making their way through the exhibits, which was kind of a pain for some of the hands-on stuff. The museum itself was great, but we were with kids and it was hard to keep track of them in the crowds.

Crowded and rushed...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/06
The International Spy Museum was very interesting, or would have been if we didn't have to fight through large crowds at each and every exhibit. It also felt very rushed, especially. There are only a few hands-on activities so you can't spend much time really exploring them. I think the museum has lots to offer, but it was just not worth the price since we weren't able to fully experience the exhibits.

A Lot of Flash, Not So Much Substence
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/06
I was looking forward to seeing this museum. I thought it would help give an insight into the intelligence communities of the world.
Instead, I found a museum culled straight from Hollywood. Around the corner from the infamous US Embassy Moscow eavesdropping seal is James Bond's Aston Martin, complete with soundtrack and effects. Kids can ...

Perfect for a jaded 14 year old (and his parents)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/06
Finding the perfect place for a 14 year old who is completely museumed out and a husband who'd rather be golfing seemed impossible... thank heavens for the Spy Museum! I went along with the thought that this would be more fun for the guys than for me but I ended up enjoying it just as much as they did.
The Spy Museum is not free, and for the expeirence it should not be. For a paltry 14.00 you get a great self paced tour of espionage and history. The museum is much larger than appears from the outside. We spent 3 hours and thought it was a bargain. They provide a great gift shop and nice, modern and reasonably priced cafe next door. This was a great trip off the typical D.C. museum track. Take your time and appreciate all they have.

FUN!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/06
WE had so much fun!!! There were kids and adults there. A lot of hands on things to do. You have to choose a secret name and then you have to memorize your character. Make sure you remember as much as possible cause they ask you more at the end of the tour.

Fun for all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/05
Great interactive experience. Fun for all ages. You get to pretend to be a spy while learning about the history and future of spying. The museum does a great job of balancing the fun that we imagine spying to be with the serious need for intelligence in times of war.
