i stayed their yesterday the stuff are not friendly, dont give the service that most people expected. Some facilities are very dirty and untidy. Low class in service. P.S if you want to stay a hotel here in Davao City, the best recommended hotel is Marco Polo or Grand Regal.
Me and my bf stayed their yesterday and the hotel is really embarrassing for me to bring my american BF their.. i thought they would give a nice service to us since it is intended to be a nice hotel in davao..
dislikes:
-the telephone cannot make outside calls.. -the bathroom doorknob was broken -some of the facilities are not ...
The staff were very nice, food was good and location is great. The only thing is that the carpets needs to be upgraded, it has a lot of stains. We had a problem with our room when we checked in but they fix it right away. Overall the stay was great. They just need to upgrade the carpets and the curtains.

You Want to Ruin Your Davao Trip? Stay at Mandaya!
Royal Mandaya sucks! The front desk people are discourteous. Grace fought with Aida in front of me. They have very poor telephone skills. I complained over the phone, and Rachel would cut me from time to time to insist on her point! How unprofessional! Things look grand from outside, but the grand appearance is all that is grand! I wonder how ...

I visited Davao in 2006 and enjoyed my stay at the Royal Mandaya. The staff was especially wonderful, kind and very helpful. One of my friends had a problem with her room, but her room was changed immediately. The location is great for travel throughout Davao.
try Royal Mandaya Hotel. the ambiance and the spirit blends well with its name. "Mandaya" refers to the native settlers of the city. One of the first inhabitants believed to have contributed to what Davao City is now.
I can't vividly remember my stay in this hotel, it was, i think 1998 or 1999. But i love the waiting area in the 2nd floor where you can watch people below coming over the hotel. The Street where it was located is a little bit congested with parked vehicles but not that much traffic.
The Royal Mandaya Hotel is very classily luxurious hotel. Well for the first time out of the county from USA over to visit Davao City Philippines. I was very impressed by this very centrally located hotel to visit my fiancé. The rooms very comfortable clean & well maintained. The Asian restaurant offering an all you can eat buffet is also very ...

My fiance and i made a reservation for a king -size, non smoking room that is far away from the elevator about a month before we arrived Davao City. It was my fiance's first visit to Davao although he's been in Manila years before. We checked in and the clerk told us that we do not have a reservation. We had a little argument but we finally ...
