The Hisham Hotel is Amman's best budget hotel. It is popular with diplomats and journalists for good reason and its good for travelers who want to avoid western hotel chains and mingle with locals more. The staff was awesome, they helped me with everything from directions, getting a cab, to laundry. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there is A/C in the summer.
