My husband and I come down to Galveston every now and then just to get away and we always stay at the Tremont House. It is a great hotel and the staff is wonderful. We are so glad they are back after the hurricane. Keep up the great job.
They are not ready for guests. One problem after another and all they offer is lame excuses. Our room door didn't latch because the lock was not complete. After 3 phone calls to the front desk and 1 hour & 45 minutes we were told to come get the key to a new room and we could move ourselves. Problems continues through the 1 and 15 minute ...
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the last night of our first year anniversary celebration. Before arriving in Galveston we stayed at an over priced hotel in Houston. When we went to our room at this hotel we were in love all over again. We really wished that we had booked all of our nights there. My husband is in a wheelchair and we were ...
I looked for weeks online and could not find anything that looked like it was worth the money. We were originally going to go to the Moody Gardens Hotel but I am glad that we went here instead. I have heaerd from firends and online reviews that the Moody Gardens hotel is not worth it and should not be considered 4 star. This hotel should be. I ...
We stayed here this past weekend. The service as we tried to make the reservation was indifferent, at best. Check-in was easy. The service at the restaurant was rude, and the fish dish was terrible. The room (429) was quite attractive, but the air conditioner was so loud that we could not use it the second night of our stay. You could not even hear ...
we love the huge ceilings and excellent sleeping arrangments... old world but new.. shopping around the corner... nice areas for breakfast... real close to the cruise ship docks... nice way to start our cruise vacation...
This is a great Hotel. Clean Rooms, clean Sheets, clean overall. Spacious rooms and they do look like the pictures show on the website. Roof Terrace lets you look down on the Strand streets. Locations is also very nice....If you want to go to the Seawall/Beach, just catch the Trolly. Staff is very helpful and Frontdesk is very friendly...ask for the FREE TROLLY COUPON !!!! A big shoutout to LUZ...one of the Housekeepers, very sweet lady.
The rooms of this historic hotel have a 1920's air to them. Lounging at the lobby where the pianist is playing standards is a great way to welcome the evening. The rooms' french doors open to private balconies that overlook the atrium. Very nice hotel about a block from the Strand.
I can honestly say that every employee was absolutely wonderful to us. The hotel was quite charming, and most relaxing. We especially enjoyed the piano, and setting quietly sipping wine at the beautiful bar / lobby. Our breakfast was very good Our only complaint was that a large family, with several children that had never been ...
I love to go to the Tremont on Sunday mornings for breakfast. It is a great place, quiet and classy. (As a European living in Galveston, I thoroughly appreciate and enjoy the charm and history). Sadly, the attitude and service, or lack thereof, leave much to be desired. Specifically, the dining room is unmanaged.....nobody to seat one, or cook ...
