The location was great; across the (busy) street from the beach. Close to the convention center. The people were nice. The rooms needed some help. The air conditioner barely worked. The bathroom was gross. And the free high speed internet access? What a joke. They had wireless cards you could borrow from the front desk, but I couldn't ...

Our room wasn't the cleanest...mildew on the showerhead, etc. Smelled mildewy in the room too. They were in the process of repainting the outside of the hotel, so maybe they're trying to clean up the place. It was convenient to Moody Gardens and the State Park and all the nice restaurants.

The smell of mildew welcomed my friends and I when we walked in the room. The carpet was filthy, we did not take off our shoes at all. The front desk clerk did not seem she was happy about the career choice she made (quite evident with her not so friendly disposition.) Great value. Very nice staff & clean room with refrigerator & microwave. The days of free parking during the cruise made the room very cheap.

The beds were comfortable and everything seemed clean. The continental breakfast was a nice touch. We also got to park free for the week while we went on a cruise. This is a great money saver. Overall, a very good value.
