We needed to cancel our reservation due to an illness in the family, and it was 24 hours in advance. They had already charged our credit card beforehand and would not refund our money. We had to contest the charges. Their service on the phone was atrocious, keeping us on hold, bouncing us around, ran us to voice mail.

Not a good experience.

My stay was a very enjoyable. The hotel staff was willing to meet our request, the rooms were accomodating and the ocean views will speak for themselves. I notice a lot of negative feedback as this will be true with 90% of all hotels but again my weekend stay was very enjoyable.

Awesome location. The beach/ocean are literally in your backyard. There is a LONG clean beach..and sidewalk.
Downsides..
The pools are very small. Or, at least on a busy weekend.
Some of the personel were the rudest I have EVER seen. Not just to us, but to many other guests.
The "restaurant" was a joke. Were told there was a 40 min ...

Alittle slice of heaven... at the beach!! A very island feel even inside the hotel. The people are so friendly and the hotel is very cleanly. It was very home-like. I'll always book my stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in South Padre everytime I go!!
