Perfect spot! Right across from the beach and all the restraunts are close. Me and my family stay here a couple of times a year. I wish they had fridge and microwaves in rooms!

We enjoyed being right across the water and being able to walk to a number of restaurants and souvenier shops. The room was pretty clean, though kind of pricey on the weekends...across from the water and upstairs. We really enjoyed the restaurant and cafe' spending a few nights drinking pitchers of Shiner Bock at the bar. Nice pool and big enough. Overall a great experience. We WILL go back.

Someone else booked us at this place and had no say in the matter. Will never go back!! Room smells of mold and mildew. When I walked in the toilet was running and I had to fix it. Had to move the lamp from bureau to bedside so we could read. Don't even think about eating at their restaurants. When I leave part of a crabcake and fried shrimp on ...

The Inn, the restaruants, the food, the value. My family has been going since the '50s. I am planning a return soon, we have a favorite room we always stay in. Always enjoyable, memorable and relaxing.

My husband and I enjoyed the hotel because it was a nice place in an excellent location. Breakfast was great. The room was very comfortable. It was not fancy nor was it dirty. I appreciated the gift certificates given to eat at the restaurant. The restaurant deserves kudos for friendliness and service as well. I cannot wait to come back. I am a fan of bed and breakfast but when I come to Galveston, I want to stay at Gaidos.

The beach front rooms made our vaction very fun and exciting. Our kids loved swimming in the pool,because the water was clean. The staff was great. They made sure our rooms was neat and clean,we had fresh scented linen everyday we stayed there,and breakfast was put out on time. Our family would like to say thanks to the Gaido's family and their staff. we hope to see yall soon.

The views of the gulf from this hotel are spectacular. The accompanying restruant has quite possibly the best fresh gulf seafood I have ever tasted. The prices are a little high, but well worth the cost. I highly reccomend this hotel and restruant for anyone looking to spend some time on the Texas gulf coast.

i have stayed there twice and were treated verry well especially in the restaurant the best in texas i am going back in may of 2007 and will stay at guido's again and recomend it to all who go to galveston

It's comfortable & right on the seawall with a great view. Within walking distance of sovineirs, bars & restaurants although Casey's & Gaido's food is the best ANYWHERE. We love the place. Stayed at the Commodore one year & it just wasn't the same.
