It was not close to anything. The bathrooms were very small. The court side rooms is not on the river. They are across the road. I was very disappointed in the location and in the room itself.

The staff were great, the location was good. But the hotel is old, stuffy, rusty baseboards.The beds were too hard and no internet access, we were supposed to stay a whole week but oppted to move to thier little cabin. that was better but not the best. Sydney James is a Wonderful place to stay. We enjoy staying on the creek side. My husband and I have been coming there about 15 years on our anniversary and are very much looking forward to this october.

If you lived in a cardboard box on lower Wacker Drive in Chicago, the Sidney James would be worse than that! I have never, ever seen such an incredibly run-down, filthy, outdated, bug infested place in all my travels.
