STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!!!!This place is a dump. Staff are inept. Rooms are disgusting,(dark, moldy & not clean)We had to change rooms TWICE due to (1) light fixtures & AC not working and no power in outlets. Swimming pool is more like a cess pool. Place is in dire need of a complete renovation. We stayed for 2 nights in August 2005 and will NEVER stay there again.0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulOVERALL

Brand New LookI was amazed at the transition the Inn took during the off season. Rooms have all new mattresses/boxsprings, AC's, drapes, desks, headboards, tv's etc. The pool has new carpeting and railings, the restaruant and lounge looks great and the food was fabulous!2 of 2 Yahoo! Never again!Prepaid by phone. Arrived at 3 p. m. and waited for another couple to get checked in. It took clerk 20 minutes of hunting and pecking on pc with their credit card. Office very messy. Not Bad If You Are Going To Block v=IslandLIKES:
(1) Extremely convenient to Block Island Ferry; Roll out of bed and get on the ferry
(2) Port Location - Even if you stay in the port for the night, there are some nice restaurants and bars in walking distance

Not worth the money!!Charge credit card for first night before you're even there and want next night up front. Parking lot covered in seagull droppings and bushes and corners around buildings and doorways COVERED with seagull feathers!! stay away from this placeI think that this place is rundown and
needs a lot of renovation.
Bathroom door knob was broken.
Room had a musty smell.
Whirlpool wasn't in working condition.

See You SoonMy family and myself have been spending at least 10 days a summer at The Lighthouse Inn for The last 5 years we always get the same room My kids love it there because they can have the independance preteens need at want.
