This hotel was a disgrace. I am very disappointed that I spent $179 on a one-night stay. It all began at check in. When you walk into the hotel lobby, it looks like a european castle. The people at the front dest are friendly, but not very helpful! After we checked in, we were amazed to see the 1-star level room we were given. It was large, but ...
The hotel lobby gives you the experience of the stately old hotel. The rooms were more than adequate in size. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of hot water.
Really pretty old hotel, but front desk clerks were uninspired and unhelpful. Main dining room is great with good service and delicious food. Oprah stayed here on her roadtrip, but you'll notice that she made no mention of it at all. Stay here and you'll see why.
There's nothing I didn't like about the Omni Hotel. Our stay was pretty much perfect. What stood out the most was the quality of service of the hotel staff and concierge. They were both incredibly helpful and unpretentious. I highly recommend a stay at the Omni.
I grew up in the Pittsburgh area but left 26 years ago, so on my first real visit back to the city, I decided that I wanted to stay at the grand old lady. A friend had mentioned a few years ago that the WP was a bit run down and he wasn't happy with the accomodations, but I decided to stay there anyway.
Check in staff were arogant and treated guest as fools. Reserved non-smoking room and was told I had reserved smoking, showed check in person reservation for non-smoking and she stated "well we don't have one available any way". Room was dirty with remains of dirt from prior guests, stain on bedspread, toothpaste on bathroom mirror, etc. Overall, the rooms and corridors had dirty/musty smell. Definitely a bad experience!
I have stayed at this hotel more than once and generally find it a good place to getaway to and experience the past.
I can add little to the previous reviews: it's a grand hotel with luxurious accomodations for a decent price. The dining is high-quality but the menus are a bit limited, especially if you stay a few days. But there are a ...
This hotel is in the center of town and has a beautiful lobby and awsome rooms. The history is great to read about and if you get the chance to go to Pittsburg I highly recommend this hotel above all the others.
This is a great hotel with super friendly service. The restaurants there are excellent. Rooms were spotless and the location couldn't be better! There is a nice little pub style bar that is great. The drinks are good and the food is as well.
My brother and I made reservations several months before our date of arrival. We were looking forward to staying in Pittsburgh and attending a Steelers' game for the first time after being lifelong fans. We arrived at the hotel to find that our rooms would not be ready until after 7:00pm and they asked for our cell phone numbers. We walked ...
