For some reason the price was unusually costly $270.00 + on the weekend that we were in for our visit with family. Something must have been going on in Portland that weekend, as a result I felt the room was quite over priced. I like the location, but would take the Marriott over the River Place any time, unfortunately the Marriott was full. This visit wasn't my first to the River Place....it was my last.

With the recent renovation, RiverPlace is now my favorite hotel in Portland. I love the location on the river and it's still an easy walk to downtown attractions. The hotel is a craftsman, Northwest design now and offers great, personal service. I like the small size, it's not overwhelmed with large groups. Great spot for a relaxing getaway.
