I was given a room in the "Tower", it had an unpleasant odor, mould in the bath, and cockroaches - seriously. There were no blankets on the bed only a ratty bed spread and we all know the horror stories of hotel bedspreads!

We have been coming to NC and staying at the Buccaneer for 20 years. Unless you are booked into the tower the rooms have been declining steadily. The electrical is scary with outlets not working well and almost falling out of the wall. The toilet had a permanent ring and the tub did not look clean. The furniture has seen better days. We had to ask for towels. We will not stay there again.

The desk staff was friendly and efficient. The location is right on the main highway so it is convenient for travelers, but you will need to drive to the activities. After check-in (late in the evening) we could not find parking anywhere close to our room. The tavern next door seemed pretty busy and I think the customers were using the hotel ...

Liked the place and am likely to return.
New part is hotel style, has working internet, and is equivalent to a room at a Hampton Inn, good value.
Old part is motel style, not much different from a RRI or Super 8, but okay, and cannot guarantee working internet if you have a Mac.
Breakfast very pleasant unless you're expecting cheese omelettes. Pool nice. Personnel friendly and helpful.
Convenient location.

When we arrived at the hotel it was an extremely substandard truck

stop that was not suitable for our stay. Please reconsider listing

them as a viable place for lodging.

This place was great. I have been to plenty of hotels and not experienced the customer service and value that I received at the Buccaneer Inn. Sweeney's Restaurant (actually an Irish Pub)has recently opened next door. I carried twenty employees there to dine. Food and Service were great! AAA+++

We stayed here in June and October of 2007. Both times we were pleased with our room. Refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. We stayed in the "new" part. We were pleased with the price both times, they were reasonable rates for the time of year in Morehead City. The breakfast is good. French toast, syrup, ...

We stayed in a non-smoking room and the bathroom reeked of smoke from another room, and there was no fan. I saw about 5 roaches, and for $100 a night. Not worth it. Find another place to stay.
